Love is an ennobling force. Love is the most essential element of every being, it is the most radiant light, and it is the greatest power; able to resist and overcome each and everything in this world. Love elevates every soul that absorbs it, and prepares these souls for the journey to eternity. Souls that have been able to make contact with eternity through love exert themselves to inspire in all other souls what they have derived from eternity. They dedicate their lives to this sacred duty; a duty for the sake of which they endure every kind of hardship to the very end, and just as they pronounce “love” with their last breath, they will also breathe “love” while being raised on the Day of Judgment. It is impossible for souls without love to be elevated to the horizon of human perfection. Even if they lived for hundreds of years, they could not advance on the path to perfection. Those who are deprived of love, as they are entangled in the nets of selfishness, are unable to love anybody else and die unaware of the love that is deeply instilled in the very being of existence.
A child is received with love when he is born, and grows up in a warm atmosphere composed of affectionate, loving souls. Even if children may not enjoy the same love to the same degree in later phases of their life, they always long for it and pursue it throughout their life
Love is not only one of the most frequently talked about issues today, it is also one of the most essential issues. Actually, love is the rose in our belief, a realm of the heart that never withers. Above all else, just as God wove the universe like lace on the loom of love, the most magical and charming music in the bosom of existence is always loved. The strongest relationship among individuals that forms family, society, and nation is love. When love and purity in our selves is true, it is sure that no obstacles would come in our way. True love can stand for any test of fate, fortune and time. There can be neither worldly circumstances nor events in this material world that can change the feeling of true gratitude and love. Love is a force that can withstand the shocks of nature. The bright pole star remains in the same position in spite of all the movements of the earth. Like this the emotion of true love and care persists in spite of all the variations in the material world. Love can be considered as a deep satisfaction in the happiness of another, dedication to something greater than oneself, an intense form of friendship, and something that does not die with time. It is hard to decide what makes a happy life. It is difficult to define happiness which can acceptable to all. But a happy and a contented life can be lead by a person whose heart and mind is pure and filled with love, affection and gratitude towards others.
There are impressions of love on the face of the sun; water evaporates, rising toward those impressions, and after it has been condensed in drops high above, the drops fall joyfully onto the earth on wings of love. Then, thousands of flowers burst through with love, offering smiles to their surroundings. Dew drops on leaves glitter with love and twinkle with amusement. Sheep and lambs bleat and skip about with love, and birds and chicks chirp with love and form choruses of love. Universal love shows itself throughout the cosmos in the fact that each particle helps and supports every other particle. This is true to such an extent that the most dominant factor in the spirit of existence is love. As an individual of the universal chorus, almost every creature acts and behaves in its own style, according to the magical tune it has received from God, in a melody of love. However, this exchange of love from existence to humanity and from one creature to another takes place beyond their will, because the divine will completely dominates them. The ennobling force of love and truth has the power of converting the corrupted world into a place of peaceful wonders.
Jesus Christ said “love thy neighbor”. He considered the whole world as a family and thus preached the people to love each other by being truthful and serve the humanity sincerely.
The holy Bible speaks of love as a set of behaviors that humankind is encouraged to act out. One is encouraged not just to love one's partner or even one's friends but also to love one's enemies. In the holy bible, love has been described in various terms. It quotes-
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.”
“When I despair, I remember that all through history, the way of truth and love has always won”. This is quoted from Gandhiji’s autobiography ‘My experiments with truth’.Gandhiji believed that the core of every religion was Truth and Love. He considered god as love and truth. In the presence of spirituality, there is an indefinable mysterious power that pervades everything. It is this unseen power which makes itself felt and yet defies all proof, because it is so unlike that it perceive through all the senses. It transcends the senses. But it is possible to reason out the existence of God to a limited extent and that too only in the presence of love.
In the framework of Islam’s universal principles, the consideration and idea of love is very balanced. But many oppressors and aggressors have denied this love, because just as love and mercy shown to oppressors makes them more aggressive, it also encourages them to violate the rights of others. For this reason, mercy should not be shown to people who threaten universal love. ‘Mercy shown to an oppressor is the most merciless act toward the oppressed’. However, we should show mercy for those who lapse unintentionally or feel remorse for their wrong. The Prophet said:
“Love and help your brothers whether they are oppressors or victims. You can help oppressors by making them stop their oppression.”
The most direct way of going to the hearts of people is the way of love, the way of all the gods. Those who follow it are rarely rejected; even if they are rejected by a few, they are welcomed by thousands. Once they are welcomed through love, nothing can prevent them from attaining their ultimate goal, God’s pleasure.
It was due to the true love and gratitude of the freedom fighters towards the nation that brought us freedom 59 years ago. The unique force of love, of millions of people in India, has brought our country to a status of one of the best developing nation in the world. The nearest approach to Truth is through love. Truth and love go hand in hand in various aspects of our life. It is through these ennobling forces that great lives like Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and many other people have achieved success in their various walks of life.
Love and politeness towards the humanity can be considered as a noble work.. Love in the sense of non-violence has only a limited number of votaries in the world. Many people undertake non-violence to some extent, due to their feeling of affection and love towards animals. For most people, love for an animal is a part of the affection they have for their pet, an emotion of bonding or companionship which can border on affection, fondness, or love. For others it takes on deeper or even compulsive forms, surrounding themselves with often stray animals out of compassion and becoming somewhat isolated from society. As true love sustains itself till the end of the world, a part of it towards the animals can be the most humanitarian thing that exists in the world. A mother who can die for the sake of her child is a heroine of affection; individuals who dedicate their lives to the happiness of others are entitled “valiant devotees,” but those who live and die for all of humanity is commemorated as monuments of immortality that deserve to be enthroned in the hearts of humanity. In the hands of these heroes, love becomes a magic elixir to overcome every obstacle and a key to open every door. Those who possess such an elixir and key will sooner or later open the gates to all parts of the world and spread the fragrance of peace everywhere, using the “censers” of love in their hands.
“Love conquers all”. Poverty is one of the major problems in India and this can be overpowered with the force of love and gratitude towards them. Now a days, terrorism has become a global problem and the only way to overcome this inhumanitarian work, is by the influence of love and understanding between the various sects of the society.. Thus with the help of ennobling forces like love, affection, and gratitude, we can make our society civilized and a better place, so that the future generation can live with peace and harmony.

‘THE PROGRESS OF A NATION GROWS IN THE CRADLE OF MORAL VALUES’
Moral values are the values of right conduct in our dealings with our fellow-citizens and with the whole human race. These values are the most important features of our lives. It is based upon the possession of clear ideals as to what actions are right and what are wrong and the determination of our conduct by a constant reference to those ideals.
Technology has made great strides in modern times. The advances in other fields need no mention. The revolutionary advances in technology have brought about many changes in national life. The most important change is the decay of morals. All spiritual and ethical values have been undermined. Moral standards have collapsed. It is the decline in human values that accounts for the degradation of human-beings. Due to the lack of these values, the progress of our nation is lagging behind.
The educational system is contributing to the collapse of human values in society. Educational institutions, which ought to give a lead in promoting the nation's all-round welfare, are leading the country astray. Human values like sacrifice, integrity, fairness and morality have almost disappeared. Reverence and respect for elders are totally absent. What we need today is not a new system of education, not a new social order, or even a new religion. There is a good deal of speculation about how to bring about a new social order. All these are exercises in futility. The nation will be prosperous only when there are people with the moral conduct and good characters. Such persons will emerge in society only when there is purity of mind and morality in society. Only a society with a moral foundation can foster such noble persons. In India, this whole concept of good behavior got crystallized in dharma, or the set of duties every person has to perform. In the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna says in Chapter 3 "swadharme nidhanamshreya paradharmo bhayapaha". Doing one’s own duty is the most desirable and if one cannot perform duty, death is a better option. This inculcation of values in the educational system is possible. This, in turn, would mean referring to the sources of tradition which will involve a reference to some religion. Lack of morals has led to the criminalization of politics. Lawmakers are Law-breakers today. The only people the youth probably look upon as role models are politicians and media. So far as professions are concerned, every professional association can uphold ethics and codes of conduct, and thereby build role models and benchmarks for guiding society.
We must redesign our system of governance to check corruption. The value of material prosperity, not moral values, leads to corruption. Corruption today is a game in which five major players are involved. They are the corrupt politicians, the corrupt bureaucrats, the corrupt businessmen, the corrupt ngos and criminals. One simple example of this is how, while an Indian may throw rubbish on the streets without batting an eyelid, the same Indian, when he reaches Singapore, is on guard and may not commit nuisance or throw rubbish on the streets.
All these corruptions, crime and carelessness are certainly as immoral as any of the petty forms, whose morality is not questioned. All these inconsistencies as regards the moral status of various kinds of gambling or dishonest speculation arise from our inveterate habit of dealing with limited cases, each judged on its supposed merits as to consequences, instead of looking to fundamental principles.
Our government having been secular has been remarkably successful in totally eliminating any induction of values in our educational system. We have, therefore, a whole lot of students coming through the schools where they do not learn any values. This big defect has to be rectified.. If we want India to become less corrupt, if not corruption-free, we must start with the educational system and ensure that moral values are inducted. Today, for example, these values of good conduct, based on Hindu traditions, are taught in the institutions like Ramakrishna mission, Christian missionary schools and other rare institutions. Moral education must be inculcated not only in the schools but also in the home. This teaches the children about the code of conduct for living in a society. The next step of our national transformation is in the hands of the children who are the future of our nation. These values will indeed help the nation to change the notion of developing nation to a developed nation. The cultural backgrounds become strong due to these morals & this transition can easily happen. On the whole the progress of the nation grows in the cradle of moral values.
